Nick Schuermann Named Academic All-District

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College men’s soccer student-athlete Nick Schuermann has been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District second team.
Schuermann, a junior from Fort Mill, South Carolina, has started all sixteen games this season on defense. He has scored two goals, which is tied for second on the team, and also has one assist. Schuermann is majoring in biology. He is the first men’s soccer player to receive the honor since Tommy Kandl in 2005.
The ESPN The Magazine All-District team is selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Wofford is in the third district, which includes schools in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Nominees must have at least a 3.30 grade point average.
The Terriers will travel to UNC Asheville on Saturday before the final regular season conference match on November 4 at College of Charleston.
