SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Hosting the 2008 Southern Conference Championships at Milliken Park, the Wofford men’s and women’s cross country teams placed in the 11^th and 12^th spots, respectively. On the men’s side Appalachian State repeated as SoCon Champion as did Chattanooga on the women’s side.

Senior Josh Shumaker led the Terrier men coming in with a time of 27:47, good enough for the 68th position. The next Terrier across the line in the 71stspot was junior Bryan Brooks with a time of 27:53. Justin Hunter set a new personal record by nearly 30 seconds to finish 78^th with a time of 28:15.    Mavrick Harris and Paul Vecchione were the final two in for the Terriers with times of 29:15 and 29
:31, placing them in the 85th and 86th position.

On the women’s side, Kari Harris was the first Terrier across the line with a time of 20:58 placing her in the 83rd spot. Pearce Tapp followed in behind Harris in the 85th position with a time of 21:12. Finishing third for the Terriers and 87th overall was Justina Oliva with a time of 21:27. Freshman Caroline Burdette ran the course in 21:42 good enough for the 91st position. Cindy Hernandez and Morgan Mickalis were the final two Terriers across the line in the 94th and 95th spots with times of 21:57 and 22:02.
