SPARTANBURG, SC – Due to the continuing rain in the forecast for Friday, the Wofford baseball season opener against St. Peters scheduled for 4:00 pm has been postponed.

The Terriers will host St. Peters for a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:00 pm.

Gilmartin Drafted And Signs With Oakland A’s
Wofford shortstop Michael Gilmartin was selected by the Oakland A’s in the 27th round of the MLB Draft on Wednesday afternoon. Gilmartin, a three-time All-Southern Conference selection, signed with the A's on June 16 and will play for the Vancouver Canadians.

Brandon Waring Selected to Carolina League All-Star Team
Former Wofford Terrier baseball player Brandon Waring has been named to the Carolina League All-Star Team. Waring, who is playing first base for the Frederick Keys, is hitting .280 on the season and leads the Keys with nine home runs and 38 RBIs.

Gilmartin, Diamaduros and Foster Honored by SoCon
Wofford College shortstop Michael Gilmartin was named to the All-Southern Conference second team as selected by the conference coaches on Monday. In addition, Konstantine Diamaduros and James Foster were named to the All-Freshman Team.

Baseball Drops Season Finale At Georgia Southern
The Wofford baseball team ended the season with a 9-5 loss to Georgia Southern on Sunday afternoon by Georgia Southern at Clements Stadium. The Terriers scored four runs in the first inning, but the Eagles then scored the next nine runs on the way to the victory.
