2008-09 Schedule

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford has announced its men’s basketball schedule for the 2008-09 season, which includes games at Clemson, Georgia and South Carolina. The slate of 29 games includes twelve home games.

With the addition of Samford to the Southern Conference, Wofford will play 20 league games. The Terriers will play home-and-home series with South Division Teams, plus home-and-home with four of the six North Division teams. Wofford will play Elon and UNC Greensboro only once this season.

Wofford begins play on November 16 when the Terriers visit Dayton. On November 19, Wofford will play at Clemson. The Terriers will then travel out west to face Air Force and UT-Pan American in Colorado Springs.

The first home game of the season will be on November 25 against UNC Asheville. That contest will be followed by the first Southern Conference game on December 5, when Appalachian State visits Benjamin Johnson Arena. A home game against Union (Ky.) and a road game at Georgia wrap things up before the holiday break.

On January 2, the Terriers will play at Navy, which will be followed by a game at South Carolina on January 5. Navy and South Carolina will make return trips to play at Wofford in the 2009-2010 season.

The Southern Conference slate kicks into gear on January 8 at Chattanooga, followed by a trip to Samford against the newest member of the conference. Davidson, which reached the 2008 NCAA Elite Eight, will play at Wofford on February 12. The regular season will conclude on March 2 when the Terriers host Furman.

The Southern Conference Tournament is scheduled to begin on March 6 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with the championship game slated for March 9.
