SPARTANBURG, SC – The Wofford College baseball team took part in a fall game on Friday night against Francis Marion. The scheduled 16-inning contest was shortened to nine and a half innings due to rain.

Wofford used one pitcher in each of the nine-plus innings played and also had open substitution in the field and at the plate.

Among the position players, freshmen Taylor Rozier and Matt Moore each had three hits. For the pitchers, Pete Noordsy and J.D. Osbourne both had three-up and three-down innings. Osbourne had two strikeouts while Noordsy had one in his return to the mound after missing last season due to injury.

The Terriers regular season will begin with a weekend home series at Russell C. King Field on February 19 against Pittsburgh. Wofford will also host Dayton, Butler, UNC-Asheville, St. Peter’s and Duke before beginning the conference schedule on March 12 at Davidson.
