MEN'S BASKETBALL:
Fans have reason to be excited for the upcoming season as Coach Mike Young's squad hosts Navy and South Carolina in non-conference action plus a slate of 9 home games against the highly competitive Southern Conference. The home opener is Thursday, November 19 against Lees-McRae at 7:00 p.m. The Terriers host the Midshipmen from the US Naval Academy on Saturday, December 12 at 3:00 p.m. That contest will mark the annual "Take a Kid to the Game" day with all kids 12 and under admitted free with a paying adult.
The following Saturday, the Terriers will battle the Gamecocks from South Carolina in the Benjamin Johnson Arena. It will be USC's first trip to Spartanburg since November 28, 2001. Other highlights to the schedule include annual battles with Davidson (January 16), defending conference tourney champion Chattanooga (January 25), Furman (January 30) and College of Charleston (February 25).
Two men's home games (December 12 vs. Navy and January 30 vs. Furman) will be played at 3:00 p.m. rather than the traditional 7:00 p.m. tip-off time. A total of six men's games will be televised this season: Nov. 24 at Illinois (ESPNU), Dec. 4 at Michigan State (Big Ten Network), Dec. 19 vs. South Carolina (SportSouth), Jan. 22 at College of Charleston (ESPN2), Jan. 30 vs. Furman (SportSouth) and Feb. 25 vs. College of Charleston (CSS).
The Charlotte Bobcats "Rhythm Cats" drummer group returns to the BenJo on January 30 and the Spartanburg Martial Arts Demo Team puts on another great show for halftime on December 19. Every game is packed with contests, giveaways and opportunities for area talent to perform at halftime or sing the national anthem.
Reserved seat season tickets are $120, a savings of $5 off the price at the Arena. Plus, all season ticket holders will receive a pair of free appreciation events on November 19 and February 6 prior to home contests with Lees-McRae and UNC Greensboro respectively.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Coach Edgar Farmer's team will take on a more youthful look with seven freshmen on this year's roster. The new-look Terriers will open the season with two of the first 14 contests on the road followed by a stretch to end the year with only three road games in the final 13. The home opener is November 18 at 6:00 p.m. against Norfolk State.
There are four doubleheaders scheduled this season - January 16 and 25 and February 25 and 27. For the mid-week doubleheaders, the women's contests will begin at 4:00 pm and Wofford Sports Marketing will be contacting area afterschool groups and day cares with a special targeted promotion for area children.
In a carry-over from the 2009 baseball season, "Kids Free Saturdays" will also be featured for women's basketball! All kids age 12 and under will be admitted free with a paying adult for the three home Saturday afternoon contests (January 16, 23 and February 27).
A season ticket "Family Pass" is available for only $30 this season for a family of four! This is a savings of $132 for a family of four - that includes the dates where kids are already admitted free!
To order, call 864-597-4090 or click the Fan Guide link above and print the order form.
