FOOTBALL: Season tickets on-sale Monday; New "Football Fan Guide" released
Wofford football fans, alumni and friends across the Southeast, be on the lookout as the brand new Wofford Football Fan Guide hits mailboxes and e-mail boxes!
The new Fan Guide is patterned after brochures designed by the Wofford alumni office for Homecoming and Family Weekend. The Fan Guide is your go-to source for all things Wofford football AND also serves as the season ticket order form as well.
About the only detail not in the Fan Guide are kickoff times for the games this season due to the possibility of television coverage. Kick-off times will be announced this summer through the athletic website at athletics.wofford.edu.
The Fan Guide covers season ticket benefits, individual game ticket prices, group ticket discounts, the "First Down Program" from Wofford Campus Ministry, Terrier Club information and how you can "Travel with the Terriers" this fall. Check out an updated Gibbs Stadium seating chart including the new "Sod Squad" on the North End Zone hill, tailgating and parking information and mark your calendar for a number of events hosted by the Alumni Office and Terrier Club this fall. There is also a listing of hotel and restaurant choices in Spartanburg included.
PLUS, the Fan Guide includes fun stuff for the kids including TerrierLand, the Boss' Buddies Kids Club registration form and details on a pair of "Kids Eat Free Saturday" promotions slated for September 12 and November 14.
The Football Fan Guide concludes with an early look at schedules for the men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball schedules.
The guide allows the department to convey much more information than the "season ticket brochures" of the past, while serving the same purpose as a season ticket renewal mailing.

WARING WATCH: Following two-week tear, Waring leads team in homers
Former Terrier baseball player Brandon Waring now leads the team in homeruns following a two-week hot streak for the High Class-A Frederick (Md.) Keys of the Carolina League. He is batting .297 with 7 homeruns and 30 RBI in 158 at bats. Waring is tied for 6th in the Carolina League in homeruns (the leader has 16) and RBI (leader with 38). You can catch Waring live and in living color as the Keys visit Winston-Salem for the first time June 15-17 and Myrtle Beach on the same road trip, June 19-21. For more, go to www.frederickkeys.com.
CONGRATS! Pair of staff members leaving this summer
The Wofford marketing and media relations departments will each bid farewell to staff members this summer. Tyson Thompson, a media relations assistant will be furthering his education this fall as he enters graduate school at West Virginia University. Thompson, among a multitude of duties, was the eyes behind TerrierVision, the online streaming video service, this past season.
Lisa Cherry, the marketing and promotions assistant will also be leaving Wofford this summer. Cherry was an integral part of the launch of the "Let's Go." marketing campaign and amongst her many tasks, she designed every sport poster this past year and the Football Fan Guide as well. Cherry heads off to begin a graduate assistant in event management in the Gardner-Webb University Athletic Department this fall.
