Ben Johnson Arena

With its trademark parquet floor, the Benjamin Johnson Arena has proven to be one of the tougher home courts in the Southern Conference. The 2004-05 campaign represented the 25th anniversary season of Terrier basketball in the facility.

The Benjamin Johnson Arena opened in January 1981 and was recently refurbished into one of the premier facilities of its kind. The arena is named after the late Benjamin O. Johnson, former vice president of Spartan Mills and community leader in Spartanburg. During his lifetime, he was a member of the Wofford College Board of Trustees and Council of Wofford Associates.

Former Wofford men's basketball head coach and current athletic director Richard Johnson was in the Benjamin Johnson Arena on its opening night. However, he was on the visiting bench as an assistant coach under Les Robinson when The Citadel visited Wofford. The arena serves as the home to Terrier men's and women's basketball and volleyball.
